I gently scooped the sand away to uncover them.

  
 

  FINAL COUNT:  53 EGGS.

The eggs are partly buried in a thick layer of damp sphagnum moss, with space between them.  I will incubate them in two environmental chambers that will be maintained under different temperature regimes.    They will hatch in 4 to 9 months.
